You need to really clean the plastic between circuit strips. The carbon tracks are really hard to see. Use a good radio/TV contact cleaner and a toothbrush. Also, check your fuse box. I don't know this to be a fact, but the all down switch may be on a separate circuit than the individual window switches.

Drivers side window wont roll up or down

If you can hear the motor when you try to operate the window then it'll be a problem with your window regulator (the mechanism that moves the window up an down), if you can't hear the motor then It's more likely to be a fault with the motor as you said it wouldn't work with the central locking. This means your car has a total closure system, ie you press a button and all windows and sunroof close. These systems are usually seperate wiring from the switched circuit used to operate the windows from inside the car, so, if the windows don't work on either circuit then the one thing they do have in common is the motor.

Front driver side window problem in ford edge

try this, it may or may not work. Using the window button, put the window down and continue to hold the down switch while you count to 10. Release the button. Next put the window up with the window button and continue to hold the button in the up position while you count to ten again. Then put the window down and hold the button and count to ten again. The window operates on current draw to know when it is closed. This should retrain the window to know its open and closed limits.
But once again this may not work but it is worth a try. Hope this helps.

All my power windows operate fine from the drivers side switch. None operate on there on individual switches.. What could the proble be

The simplest possibility is that you have inadvertently engaged the child-proof window-lock. This happens frequently with my rental car customers, who call complaining that their windows do not work. The button is usually on the driver side arm-rest right next to the window controls. On your car, it could be someplace else. If you cannot toggle the window lock using the button, there is a possibility that the window-lock switch itself has gone bad, and needs to be replaced.

Passanger side window wont go down

It won't work on either the drivers button or the passenger button? If so it's the motor, if it works on one of the buttons then it the button that won't put it down. Let me know please.

When you open the drivers door you can see a wiring harness between the door and the body of the car.
You more than likely have wires broken in there.
