You need to take it to a trans shop before it gets worse. Often times they can just adjust the linkage and you are fine and other times...if you let this go on too long, they will need to rebuild it. It is critical to find a reputable trani shop. Don't go to an Aamco, as they are usually a rip off. They will always want to have it in for a look, then tell you they can tear it down for 500. and then tell you it will cost you 1500-2000 to repair. That usually means they are going to rebuild it or get a rebuilt trans to put in it.

Check with your local NAPA, Car Quest, Auto Zone and Checker parts stores and see who they recommend, then make some phone calls. Good luck.

SOURCE: Renault Clio

Richard i'll not waffle on but my girlfriends 1.2 extreme was doing the same thing so after countless dealer visits and fob offs in Bristol she moves up to Newcastle and it started again. It had new throttle body, map sensor TDC sensor you name it it had it. But after watching her trying to beat a truck out at the roundabout and seeing her nearly wiped out cos it wanted to go to sleep on her i thought i would have a look at it myself. So i removed the air box on the top, removed all the sensors and cleaned them with compressed air and emery paper then i removed the throttle body and found that to be bit murky inside so cleaned it and operated by hand to check for movement. Then removed plug leads and cleaned plugs. Then I remeoved all the earth straps off the battery, and traced all earth straps (two next to battery, three on gearbox bell housing(two down by radiator and one under cooolant bowl near bulkhead) and then another just at rear of engine bay on drivers side, to the left of the brake fluid reservior. After making all these points all shiny and new i reconnected the battery and started up. ( Lights appeared everywhere) The emmission light and even the diesel glow plug light stayed on (its a blooody petrol engine !!!!) so disconnected the battery and reconnected after ten minutes. This cleared the problems and took it for a run to warm it up as this when the probelms began. Returned to work, left ticking over and it appeared to idle no problem at all. took it for 20 mile run after that and no loss of power. I must also say it was in Renault for three months to find the fault under warranty, no fault codes would appear so they just fobbed the missus off till she moved up here. Its been running like a dream for ages now so try this before replacing coil packs etc

SOURCE: brake pedal judder when bkaking

It sounds like the front calipers, did you change the front brakes also? when they wear down past piston tollerance, you will get the push back on your brake pedal, also flush out all the used brake fluid, and replace it with fresh. When you have the calipers off, lube the pistons with bearing grease, you can push the pistons down with a c-clamp.It sounds like the whining noise is from low power steering fluid,to know for sure I need to know more details, from the noise location.

My Renault megane 2003 began juddering on the motorway doing around 70mph then the engine management light kept flicking on and off. I pulled over stop the engine turned all electrics off and restarted it,...

Check the timing belt. It should have been changed at 60,000 miles. Sounds like you have lost some teeth on the synchronous belt resulting in lost timing. Damage to valves can occur. look under plastic cover on the end of the head for the belt

Volkswagon bora 130 tdi is juddering with asr light coming on and staying on bit like changing gear at low revs but it does go not away unless turn car off and start again or turn asr off before driving...

asr works in conjunction with abs.to stop a wheel it(the car)thinks is loosing grip, from spinning.By applying the brakes to the wheel that is loosing grip,so the car is applying the brake. hence the juddering. if it stops when you turn it (asr)off it must be a sensor fault.easy way is to plug in the diagnostic computer to pinpoint faulty unit. if you dont drive very enthusiastically, then turn asr off until next mot/service.get back if you need any more info ....

I HAVE A MITSY DELCIA CAMPER 2.5 TURBO DIESEL AND I AM GETTING CLUTCH SLIP/JUDDER WHEN I PULL AWAY ANY IDEAS THANKS DB.

It sounds as if a couple things may be at play: one, wearing clutch, Two; the clutch pressure plate springs have become fatiqued not tranferring power as they should allowing the clutch to jump apart. It would appear you should replace both the clutch and pressure plate.
I hope this may have assisted,
Tom

Brake pedal judder when bkaking

It could be a loose caliper or a caliper with a sticking piston, causing brake drag. Something could have loosened up, since you say the brake job was recent. Hope this helps and best wishes.
