1993 GC Laredo cranks but won't turn over

Hi there-
I have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6cyl 4.0 that is cranking but will not turn over. The battery guage on the dash reads low, but then when checked with a charger- it shows that the battery is holding a charge. When I crank, the battery goes all the way down to the orange zone on the gauge. Replaced the battery grounding cable, checked for spark- there is a low spark coming from the plugs, and then I completely removed the factory installed alarm system. Any ideas what might be going on? Ignition coil?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Steph

If the check engine light is not lighting up, on the dash, when you turn on the ignition, your ecu might be in need of repair.

Weak Spark to coil

My dad had a 93 GC and he had to replace somekind of crankshaft sensor then it was fine ever since. I guess those inline 6's are known for that.

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO- TRUCK WONT

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)
