Question about 2002 Dodge Intrepid
Possibly an electric shift solenoid, or at least a bad connection at it. If you have some experience, you can try removing the harness's from solenoid packs etc, at transmission and spray them good with a penetrating spray to clean them up, but be sure to blow them out after, or at least spray with contact cleaner prior to re-assembling. If your not experienced, it may be wise to get it towed to dealer for a scan, or a reputable transmission repair place, hopefully to fix it before too much damage is done. Quite often dirty connectors are the cause, but no gaurantee's. What's mileage & when was fluid & filter last changed?
