Question about Toyota Yaris

Cd won't eject from player. Thanks - Yaris Toyota Cars & Trucks

Same thing happens with my 2008 Yaris as well. I have isolated the problem to extremes of temperature range in the cabin during operation. The CD fails to eject when the cabin is very cold or hot (approx 2 degrees Celcius(winter) or on a summers day 25degsC). So I avoid trying to eject on days like this. The CD player makes an attempt to eject and partially does so, but the CD is still completely inside and the player thinks it has been ejected. So what i did was to carefully insert another CD and touch the edge of the stuck CD inwards to "load" the stuck CD, withdrawing the 2nd CD quickly. This worked to load the CD and it played okay. I drove for a while(30mins) and when the cabin temperature was around 21C I pulled over and ejected the CD sucessfully. It's not a good idea to insert anything additional or different into the CD player but I thought it was worth a try and it worked. My car is due its 45,000kms service this Friday, and until now I wasn't aware the problem is as widespread. I will definitely alert them to it now and expect it to be fixed under warrenty..........

Look for a small hole next to the CD player, if there is one, use a tooth pick and push the reset/ eject button in and see, if it will eject the CD while it is on.

2010 Jetta My daughter had a cd in and loaded another one. It is a single cd player. I don't know how it took it? It won't eject. How do I get them out??

If possible remove the unit from the dash, remove the top plate and push the cd out. If not I have removed stuck cd's with small flat nosed needle nose pliers.

Won't read any DVD's

Have you tried using a CD player cleaner in the unit? Try a "wet" system. One that uses a cd with tiny brushes on it that you pour a little (included) cleaner on it and run it in the player as if it were any other cd. They have worked miracles for me in the past. Also, although I'm not sure about Kenwoods, I have had a number of aftermarket head units and they have all had. "Reset" button on them. I usually find them on the front located behind the faceplate. Simply remove cd's, press and hold button (with ballpoint pen) for 10- 20 seconds. This will require you to reset time, memory etc... Good luck!

CD Player keeps ejecting the CD

Either Cd is problematic or lens inside of cd player is covered with dust. There is no way of properly cleaning it unless you remove the cd player out and disassemble.

You may try cd cleaner kits but ususally they cant help.
