My @000 Kia Sephia, was running fine;[36 mpg], I went to buy gas one day and after pumping gas would not start. When I turned the key on, I lost all power. Someone gave me the idea that it was the alarm, being as I dont have the remote for the alarm. What can it be? Please help!
This is a simple troubleshooting issue....first go buy the mechanics manual from the auto store then go with the little stuff first try all your fuses battery cables and relays then flip your inertia switch and alternator maybe its not charging and the batteries dead if that doesnt work take it to them dirty guys with all those expensive tools but flip the inertia switch first sounds like an electrical problem

The fuel pump may have died. Can you hear it turn on briefly, by turning the key to "on"? You may have to stand by the gas tank while someone turns the key to on. It should turn on for about 2 seconds and then stop, after pressurizing the fuel system. If you don't hear it, then check the fuel pump fuse. If the fuse is good, and the pump won't run, one needs to check that the fuel pump wire at the tank connector has battery voltage on it when the engine is cranking-then, you can assume the pump needs replacing. If the pump is working and you have gas up to the engine, you would next check the ignition system. Start that by checking for spark on one of the spark plug wires.
sorry to tell you but you have a blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. that is why the coolant blows out of the radiator and the engine won't start due to engine compression getting into the cooling system.
I have a 94 Kia sephia and had the same issue try unplugging the timing control box located above the fuse box my car runs perfect and doesn't try and make me look like I'm stealing it anymore. Sincerly Alex.
