Car willl not turn over after cleanining engine with water hose

Washed my engine with water afterwards it would not start sounds like its ouuta gas but really is not

The water has gone in spark plug holes and is shorting out the electrical system you need to spray wd40 in each park plug hole and also the distributor and coil the water needs to be dispersed

I have water coming out of the air conditioning ducts. when i turn corners it sounds as though there is water built up coming from dash

it's most likely condensate from a plugged AC drain hose, but check your heater core too, just to make sure. Hope this helps.

I bought a van that hasn't been driven in a year or so. it ran fine but died out suddenly. Has gas in it. It will turn over but won't crank.

how old is the gas in it, there is a possibility it has water from condesation in the gas.methylhydrate willl help solve the water inn fuel issue.

My 2001 dodge caravan starts and the engine vibrates and then the engine will stop. Then exhaust fumes smells like gas.

can u please giv this vehicle a tuneup-new plug wires and distributer cap--a fuel injector or throttle body cleanin--theres a cylinder or two thats not firing-thanx

Sorry to hear that,,There are some things you can try short of tarring the engine down ,Hopefully not to much damage was done, by the over heating ,they are tuff engine. First see if you can git it started by pulling the spark plugs and putting some lube =good oil in the cylinder's and cranking it over in short 15 to 24 sec. increments still with plugs out till it will turn over freely you may have to keep a battery charger on it and don't crank to long it will over heat starter . if it frees up then put plugs in and try to start it will smoke 4 a little while but my be clear up but if not or knock.,my need over haul. Weell it sounds like you have the days old problem Pepole dont know how to look after there cars.
The muck you still have in the engine isent doing it any good and so you have to get rid of it all, as its in the engine block and is got to go ,,so drain a little of water out and put in 1/2 a cup of washing up liquid in the radiator and start the engine and let it get hot and take the reves up to 1000 rpm now and then to keep the water going around the system, after about 1/4 hr turn off,,stand for 10 minutes ,,and then remove the cap slowly and then take off the Bottom hose and let all water out also take off Top hose at the engine end and put the house water hose in the top and turn it on till all water comes out clean. Then put hose up into the bottom hose and do the same again ,and the same in top again.Now with a clean engine you can do the same to the new Radiator and wash out all gunk .then check the thermostat and make sure its 100% (any doubt through it out) and take note how it comes out so you can fit a new one the same way,
Now refit both hoses and fill with coolant or antifreeze and TURN on the heater to hot before starting as you also have to get out the air from heater when it was drained and you will trap the air which might cause you code problems..
But now try service light reset
1,,Turn Ignition to Number 1position.
2,,Press and hold "day counter"reset button and turn
ignition to II(second) position,hold down for about 12 seconds.
3,,Afterservice light flashes,release button,there should be 2 beeps confirming reset was successful.

In my 86 volvo this is where a relay was under the glove box area i believe it was the fuel pump relay. In my vehicle i washed the car and found it did not start afterwards after many hours of troubleshooting i found this relay was full of water causing my problem, they hang it upside down so water can enter easily, i took mine apart and cleaned the contacts with sandpaper, worked fine afterwards.

Trying to jump start but will not start, it took a jump one time

hmm I'll need some more information to be of more help, for example is it tumbling but not starting, is it a powerful tumble>>??

Any way here is how to check the fuel pump,,

1.) locate the gas filter by the engine, there is a hose leading to it and one from it to the engine.

2.) remove the hose leading to it and stick it in a bottle.

3.) turn the ignition on, if the pump is working gas should flow into the bottle.

4.) replace the hose to the filer

5.) remove the hose from the filer to the engine and place that in a bottle.

6.) turn the ignition on and see if gas flows. if it does the filter is fine.

NB.. Check the gas in the bottle for signs of water this will cause a problem.

Will not start

potential water in line. Red, plastic bottle of Gas treatment first. STP gas treatment highly rec. Definitely make sure you do not have any more gas leaks since the system relies on pressure. Any loss in pressure results in loss of fuel to injectors/carb. Start with the gas treatment first... go from there. Sounds retarded but believe me, this has helped countless people... including myself multiple times.

Afterwards, you will need to think on terms of electrical ignition problems:

HV coil

HV coil wire

clogged filter or reversed direction filter [recheck even though it is new]

sounds to me like water may have possibly gotten into the engine spark plug areas and are preventing the engine from sparking.
