You may not have a block heater on your vehicle. It depends where you originally bought your vehicle. In colder climates like Canada a block heater is a requirement.

If you are referring to the block heater cord, the answer is yes it should start. All that does is keep your engine warm on really cold winter days eg: -20C & colder

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, it runs toooo hot, i have to keep my heat running even when we have warm weather!!! During the winter i have no issues with over heating. What is causing this?????

Your temp should run about 210 degrees (f) If you need to keep the heat on to keep the temp down likely the radiator is partially obstructed either externally (leaves or other debris) or internally (rust or calcium deposits). Most over the counter flushes don't do much but it's worth a try. Generally the best option is to have it professionally flushed or replace it with a known good one from a scrapyard.

2004 Jeep Rubicon lockers dont work when warm. in

sounds to me that you may be having air pump issues, or your having rocker switch issues, I would lean toward the pumps though, just replaced mine in my 03 rubicon and problem solved, also insect the vacuum hoses going to each locker, make sure they dont have any holes/ cracks

Since you're running diesel, you might need an engine block heater. Even the largest vehicles need to keep the block warm when the winter temperatures drop. It keeps the engine oil & fuel looser.
