My Forester's side lights and back lights remain on with light switch in off position and ignition key is removed. Not sure what the problem is. Please help.

Exactly the same problem on a 2003 Forester.

If the '04 has the same setup as the '00, then there should be a switch on the top of the steering column that will turn the parking lights on or off even if the key is removed. Hope this helps.

In the off position the running lights will be on. to disable pull the handbrake one notch on and they will shut off.. if u drive with the handbrake on one notch it wont even be enough to engage the brake but the cluster light will stay on..

SOURCE: Installing replacement side mirror on 2007 Subaru Forester

yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

SOURCE: my clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't

Is this for a 1999 Forester or for a 2004 forester, the title lists both years. If it is a 1999 model then the problem most likely resides within the clock itself. Unfortunately, many clocks of this vintage go bad over time. I offer a reasonable repair service and many clock removal instruction sheets at www.autoclockrepair.com
I'd be happy to assist.

I can't see how that is possible given what needs to be removed to access the bearings. The rear diff is not very difficult to remove from the car

My clock light on my 2004 Subaru Forester won't light anymore. The dome light works so I know its not a fuse.

First suggestion is go to AutoZone and get the error codes read (for free) -- this'll probably tell you exactly what the problem is.
