Question about 1994 Buick Regal Gran Sport
I have a problem with the main 40 amp fuse under the hood of my 1994 Buick Regal. After it blows the gauges do not operate, the power windows do not work and the car will accelerate very slowly in forward (RPM revs are way up at this point) until it reaches 25 miles per hour where by it then accelerates normally. The fuse can last up to 2 weeks or a few hours after replacing it. The power windows are not being used when the fuse blows.
Sounds like there's a ground-out/short on that lead. Best bet is to trace the wire to see if there's a bare spot where it is touching another wire bald spot, or the car body. Also, is there any liquid getting to the fuse and container? If so, that might lead to the fuse blowing as well.
