Have you checked your fuse? Check that you are getting power to the fan motor. If this is alright, then suspect the fan motor.

My 98 Buick century is over heating what is a possible cause

Wow. It could be a multitude of different problems. I will tell you a few things to look at first. Possible reasons of over heating include low water, thermostat stuck closed, no thermostat installed, radiator stopped up inside with gunk or outside with bugs, missing lower air dam, fan not running either because of a sensor or a bad fan motor, blown head gasket, cracked head, cracked block. I put these in order of simple to hard and mostly low price to high price.
You didn't say anything about noises but the accessory belt tensioner could be broken and causing the belt to not turn the waterpump sufficiently but you would probably hear the power steering pump growl if that was the problem.
Hope this helps.

I am having problems with the cabin heating and cooling sytem for my 1998 Ford F-150. Starting last week the heating and cooling system only blows hot air into the cabin despite the setting on the mixing...

my idea would be to take it to a shop which does only A/C work and ask them to tell me what is wrong and how much to fix it. 10 years is the design life, and most of your components and the hoses that connect them are either at failure or close to it. so find out what is wrong and figure out how much you are willing to spend to fix it. do not simply recharge the system on a car that old until you find out if it has leaks.

I have a 1998 Dodge Durango SLT-V6 that has no heat.

The heater core might need back flushed, I just did mine this winter. Go to dakota-durango.com and introduce your self and your rare as ever truck, a v6 durango, and have fun.

98 v6 mustang is over heating its not the thermostate or fan

Several things ... best guess, in order:
1. (very likely) Radiator fan is not blowing (turn on car and a/conditioner.
When compressor kicks in, the radiator fan must blow). If it ims not blowing,
the radiator fan motor may be burned out ($40).
2. Check / replace "cooling fan" fuse ($1) and / or "cooling fan" relay switch
($7).
3. Radiator clog (possible)
Hope this helps!

1998 S10 heat wont work sometimes

When you say the heat doesn't work are you meaning the fan doesn't blow out hot air or just doesn't blow out any air? if it blows cold air sometimes when you have the heat on then it could be poor circulation through your radiator or a weak water pump. make sure your radiator is clean on the inside, not too corroded or nasty inside. You can buy a radiator flush thing from wal-mart or any auto parts store. See if it helps.
