Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT
Daughter has a 99 grand am that she has been having problems with for some time. Car stalls while coming to a stop after a long drive of up to 2 hours. After restarting, it bucks on acceleration. The car has been to a couple of different mechanics with no success. Have replaced throttle control valve, idle sensors, o2 sensor with no luck. any ideas?
It has to be the fuel filter, alot of times they will get some gunk in them, but not enough to effect it until there has been alot of fuel ran through it, it will make sense once you think aobut it, when the car is driven for a while the feul slowly pulls the gunk through the lines tword the engine, and peices break off little by little.
This is more common of a problem than some people think.
