The fuel pump relay is up under the drivers pedals right hand side white relay, only thing is it wont be the relay thats at fault, it will either be the intank fuel pump/sender, or a loose terminal on the connector on the pump/sender under the black square panel under the rear seat base, under carpet, unfortunately it all comes as one unit. {worked for kings volvo dealer for 13 years} ade.

2005 Chev Astro 4.3 L - Green and white wire going to activate the fuel pump relay is not getting hot with key on or crank. no fuel pump working

Fuel pump signal is only momentary when key is switched on to prime for starting. Oil pressure sensor is what latches the fuel pump relay for continuous run. Make sure you are checking the signal circuit at the relay and not the function side of the relay (power for fuel pump run)

When i turn the key the engine cranks over but does not start, if i continue to crank it for a minute or two then it will eventually start and drive just fine. any ideas?

This sounds like a fuel system priming issue. When you first turn the key to the ON position (not cranking yet), you should hear a three-to-five second buzzing noise. This is the fuel pump running to pressurize the fuel system for cranking. This is controlled by the PCM and is relay activated. Once the vehicle starts and oil pressure rises, then the fuel pump is activated by the PCM via a different relay. If you can't start at first, what is probably happening is that the prime is not occurring and you have to crank it until the PCM sees oil pressure and then fires off the fuel pump. It could be PCM wiring or a bad fuel pump prime relay.

Volvo s40 fuel keeps running when the key is out

The humming is the fuel pump still on while vehicle is off,did someone work on your car recently, cos this sounds like symptoms of a fuel pump that has been connected directly.

2000 rodeo will not crank checked fuel pump and relays they are good .When I bypass relay it runs fine anyone know whats wrong

Sounds like the relay isn't receiving it's signal power to close and activate the main power to the fuel pump. Test to make sure it's getting the power when you first turn on the key [ The PCM will turn it off after a few seconds if it dosen't sense a imput from the Crank Sensor that the engine is running ]. If there's no power there, first look for a blown fuse and make sure there's power to the fuse, if not then you will have to test back thru the circuit to find the cause [ also check the igntion switch].

No start...2000 Wrangler 4.0liter, automatic.

To me it sounds like you have weak battery. Hook up a meter and check voltage. should be over 12v, then turn key on. should maintain 12v. then crank. If the voltage goes below 11v cranking the battery is bad. Be sure to test the battery. Not the cables. Then tst the cables. You may have good voltage just touching the battery and you may have low voltage touching the terminals which would indicate a dirty connections.

Power when key is in on, but no fuel comes out of pump till put key in crank mode. when you let off the crank the pump stops pumping

change oil presssure switch and fuel pump relay, relay closes when cranking due presence of oil pressure to complete circuit to fuel pump, bad relay or oil pressure switch will cause your problem.

Turn key, cranks but no fuel still after new pump.

every key cycle(5 secs appart) will turn pump on for 3 seconds. This is done to insure pressure at the injector when cranking, otherwise hard starting would insue. The engine computer drives a relay in the underhood junction box which sends 12 volts to the pump.An audible click of that relay and the pump can be heard key on/engine off for 3 secs via the ignition signal to the ecm which drives the fuel pump relay.
