Is there a way to install a bypass belt for a burned out air compressor on a Ford Contour 2000, if so where and is there a manual or video instructions on how to do it yourself?

Don't know about the bypass belt, but what many do is buy and install an "A/C delete pulley"-a freewheeling pulley that is put on where the compressor mounts. Then you can use the same belt.

You would just have to check if such a pulley is made for Contours. Try parts stores, try rockauto.com, autozone.com, even ask a parts person at ford dealer if he has heard of such a pulley for your car. All you need do is remove the compressor and install the delete pulley on the compressor mounting bracket.
Another choice is if contours came with no A/C, you might try a belt for a contour without a/c- sometimes this works, sometimes not, depending if other pulley driven units are mounted in the same place as yours with a/c.

Where is the location of the blower motor in a 98 Ford Contour?

Check the firewall on the driver or passenger side. Look for a wires leading to it in plastic conduit.

Also, the radiator has a blower motor on it to cool the antifreeze in the summer. That's another motor.

you may have to replace plugs again, sounds like the valve seals are dried out, That along with dead gas creates a bad cycle, Make sure you fill it up with the best octane fuel you can to off set the bad gas

98 Contour, starter ticks like dead battery and wipers cycle a couple of times when I turn the key to start. Wiper switch is in the off position, battery is fully charged. I would think possible starter...

If you turn the key and you hear a click and the motor is not moving your starter is probably bad. Everything can work on your car and the starter can be bad all by itself.
Check and see if your wiper is inthe correct position, sometimes we accidently move it without knowing.

It's uner the dash, alot of time packages/people will loosen its one wire. If it also will not just blow on fan and is indead plugged in and has 12volt measuerd to ground it's a new fan motor you'll need.
