Why do half the posters I read on the web think there is no filter on this transmission? There absolutely IS a filter in this transmission. You must drain and pull the pan to get to it. It is held on with three bolts. DO NOT let any dealer or service center BACK-FLUSH your tranny as all the stuff collected by the filter will be pushed right back into the tranny and cause more issues!!

no filter, has a bolt on the botton of transmittion oil pan, unscrew drain oil for about 10 minutes put back the plug and refill from the check oil stick ciao
SOURCE: I need to know what type of fluid my manual
manual transmissions should never need fluid unless u have a leak. theres a plug on the side of the transmission. if u have your oil changed at a shop they can check it for you easily.
SOURCE: Transmission fluid type and level
This is complicated.... Ok, your right, no dip stick is there! This is how it works.
Underneath the car, there is a plug (11mm) on the transmission case on the passenger side. It is about 3" up from the pan edge and on the front side of the case. With the engine running in PARK, remove this plug. If trans fuild doesn't run out of the hole, the level is low. Pour it in the hole on top (where the red cap is) until the fluid runs out - all while the car is running. Once it is roughly dribbling out, the trans is considered full. replace plug. Your done!!
Easy ehh? Dexron III fluid
SOURCE: Describe your is there a sensor on a 2000 hyundai
YES!... There are many sensors on an automatic transmission which could pose a problem -- depending on what the problem actually is. For example, there are 'input' and 'output' speed sensors, there is a fluid temperature sensor, there is a vehicle speed sensor, and there are several solenoid valves located inside the transmission connected to the valve body. Each and every one of these items can be a problem -- again -- depends on what the problem ACTUALLY is. Agreed?
