Question about 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport, 2WD 6 CYL & I'm havin a hellava time trying to remove the in line fuel filter mounted to the underside of the vehicle. I've got both clips out that attach the flex line to the filter, but I still cannot separate the filter from the flex lines. I have tried to place a forked pry bar against the edge of the flex line & use another large screwdriver to put force against the filter to pull it away from the line, & all i've done is put dents in the filter. My little mini brain is tellin me it shouldn't be this hard & I'm missin somethin that is prolly totally obvious. Mabe i need to go back to drinkin, workin on a car was never that hard when I had a cold one in my hand.
Thats funny and im right their with you. Well im sad to say but your just going to have to put some more elbow grease in it. Use some channel locks on it. It will come off. And if the filter is bad why are you worried about damaging it? lol
