Question about 2004 Volvo C70
Greetings from North Carolina. I have a 2004 Volvo C70. I have limited mechanic skills (!) but with four (4) children currently in college I have zero in the pot for auto repairs. Recently had an oil change/free alignment and they told me the front tie rods would need to be replaced soon. Car seems to have some front end instability so I believed them. Is this something an amateur with basic tools could fix? thanks for the input! H. Maxwell
Unless you have air tools with and air compressor. Your going to have to pry off those tie rod with a air hammer with a prying fork. It not that expensive. Buy the tie rods yourself so you dont get stiffed and call around for the best deal.
