It means it got really cold and the coments could be freezing, you just need to warm the truck up really good, and it should go away. This is there just to let you know that a potential problem could become due to sever cold.

My 2005 GMC Envoy XUV deplayed ice possile on dash 8 hours ago and now it wont start. What can I do to get it to start?

ICE POSSIBLE
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the ICE POSSIBLE message in the DIC when the outside air temperature drops below 4°C (39°F). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the body control module (BCM) indicating the outside air temperature.

The first thing that should be done ,is to have a factory or professional scan tool hooked up , an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . All the modules on the vehicle . Shorted sensor will cause a no start condition , will bring down five volt reference circuit in the body control module . This would cause no communication with the PCM - engine computer . Do you know what serial data network is ? Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop .

Ice possible what does it mean in my Chevy Cobalt

I assume you mean a external temperature warning light. If so, It means to be cautious as there could be dangerous ice on the road.

its bad or using it wrong,
are you on dry pavement.? or ICE, or Dirt, surely we cant guess.????

if car has Part time 4WD, then dont drive on dry pavement.
dry means ice free.

Possible ice shows up on dash light, what do I do?

This is normal, all it is saying is that with the outside temp.there may be ice on the roads. this is just a warning message letting you know it may be slippery on the roads. you will see this message go away when the outside temp rises above freezing. hope this is helpful, good day

2001 pontiac grand prix. 2.8 ltr. Code says bank one sytem too rich. What could be causing the problem? It wants to die out when I take off from a stop, mostly in the mornings.

You need to get the codes, then work from a
touble chart

MAF Sensor --dirty or bad
Evap System Leaks

A rich reading,doesn't mean a rich condition,
your looking for

Have to start with codes & then start testing,
until you find something not as it should be

It says "ice possible" when the outside temp reads 32degrees or under. Its basically just a warning that its most liekly nasty out.
