Question about 1992 Chevrolet C1500
My 4x4 chevy k1500 won't go into 4 high or 4 low a friend told me it had to do with and actuating fork that is worn down. what is this part called and where can i find a new one?
It is called a thermostatic actuator; you can purchase one at most auto part stores or at the dealership. I have also seen a manual cable replacement kit that bypasses the thermostatic unit.

Make sure the switch on the transmission that engages the front actuator is working and has power to both sides of lugs or the front axle actuator will not engage
