Hi there, My radio and windows decided to stop working this morning. The clock on the radio is fine...but the radio won't work. Could this be a fuse? And if yes, is it easy to fix on a 2001 Ford Windstar?

Re: Radio and electric windows not working
Yes, it is most likely a fuse issue. Two things going out at the same time usually leads to the fuse block. The radio and the clock are on two separate fuses. The clock runs on the constant power (yellow) wire to the radio... and the radio itself runs on the red Ign./accessory wire. pull the fuse cover off and look on the sticker on the cover for the radio fuse and check it. I'm betting it is burned out.

The problem with having your interior cleaned by someone other than yourself is that the, someone other, just happens to spray "everything" in site to make the job easier and look cleaner. Unfortunately electrical buttons were included in the spraying frenzy and that is a no no. All sorts of problems happens when you spray these buttons including window buttons and it sounds allot like your problem.
inside the radio is a miniature bulb that back-lights the display, this is true of all radio's, in fact they all use the same tiny bulb, these do burn out from time to time, u will need to remove the radio/CD unit and then pull the top cover off, inside just behind the display u will find a small twist in socket that contains the bulb, u can buy this bulb at any full service auto part's store for about $2
on the 03 eclipse gs bought one saturday and the radio didn't do nothing there is two radio fuses on is in the dash on the drivers side the other one is under the hood there is and yellow plastic clip with two fuses in it. when you go to pull it up it stops cause of clips on the bottoms sides. the radio fuse is on the left the best way to get it out of the yellow clip is to use needle nose. the fuse under the hood controls the display for the clock and am/fm radio.
