Replacing the tail lights of our 2005 Nissan Murano?

We have a 2005 nissan murano and we need to replace the tail lights-{the blinkers are blinking very rapidly}. However our manual doesn't tell us how to get to the tail lights to change them. Can you please direct us in getting access to these tail lights so we can replace these bulbs. Thank you. Judy

If the lite cover has no screws the access is in the boot pull back the boot/trunk carpet and you should see a cover over the tail lites access should be through there

I have a nissan murano 2005 with the code p1701 and a p0340 how can i use them to repair these codes

Nissan Murano P0340 2005 Nissan Murano - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit
Possible causes- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor-
Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty starter motor- Starting system circuit-
Dead (Weak) battery
P1701- Fuel trim

I would suggest replacing the camshaft position sensor. When the sensor fails it can cause changes in fuel system that the computer can detect. So I suspect once the camshaft sensor ivreplaced that the P1701 code will be gone.

When should the timing belt on a 2005 nissan marano be replaced ?

Hello tbyers006: My name is Roger and I will help you. According to what the shop manuals show. Your vehicle has a 3.5 V-6 engine. This motor does not have a timing belt. This engine uses a timing chain. Timing chains have no scheduled replacement. Should you have further questions please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way I know the answer was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

ALTERNATER

Replace the battery first with a new one , at least to test it, if battery is not fully charging it may be the cause. After check that the alternator belt is well in place, with a good grip and is not squealing. If not you may fix it just replacing the belt or putting it back in tension.
More likely it is a problem with the alternator.
There is a factory recall on 2005 Murano alternator, if this is your model contact Nissan, as you may be entitled to a free repair job at your local concessionary.
Check here:
Auto Recalls: 2005 NISSAN MURANO - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR ...
If not you will have to replace the alternator, in this case I suggest contacting a qualified mechanic.
Here you can buy the part
