I have a 2004 Pontiac grand prix with the 3600 series v6. There is a loud grinding noise when I turn and brake at the same and sometimes when I just turn but never when I just brake. When it does it it tries to send the brake pedal back up and you can feel the grind in the pedal as well as the steering wheel. I was told it could be the power steering pump but I'm thinking it might be the computer sensing wheel slip and locking up. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Cheyenne:
- For the vibration, I'd be checking universal joints or CV jounts.
- Sounds like you've got your brakes figured out already. Time for some maintenance.
double check fluid.you have air or are losing hydrolic pressure somewhere. leak in master cylinder can do this. also vacume and air leak in the booster unit. double check bleading points on each wheel.
Its the abs sensor, if you encounter an ice patch or snow you won't even be able to stop because the pedal will will push back and make the rip grind noise. If you pull the ABS fuse out, you won't have ABS but you can stop and you won't have the grind noise and back pressure for now. Its safer to not have ABS when the sensor is faulty.
