96 v w passat tdi,a/c blows cool,then warmer,comp.and fans are running,comp,drier andexpansion valve replaced 2 yrs ago

I just had a problem like that on my 96 passat tdi , there is a door on the pasages where the air goes through the heater core and a/c radiator thinghy which gives out the cold, and that litle door which redirects the air between the heather and cooler ,is mad of a sheet metal with big holes on it and covered whit a dense sponge and that sponge is breaking of trough out the years so the air passes through dose holes therefore the air passes by the heather core and the cooler part at the same time so when the car warms up no more cooling because it also heats it up .

you have to take out the shifter cover ,one piece with hand brake ,and front of it there is a air redirecting duct to the foot ,if you remove that you will see that door ,and glue some thing on it ,it is dificult ,it is hard to accces but posible

you can also check or maybe you remember if tini sponge pieces been blown out through the vent grills ,good luck ,

Ac not working, check engine light constantly on, compressor cuts in for 10 seconds then cuts out.

Either your AC system has lost gas which means it has a leak and the pressure switch on the low pressure side is cutting the compressor out, or you have a blockage which is causing very high pressures and the high pressure switch is cutting the compressor out. The blockage could be anywhere but I would suspect either the receiver drier (which is just like a filter for the refrigerant) or the thermal expansion valve or orifice tube. If any of these parts are blocked, they will have to be replaced which means de-gassing the system, fitting the new parts and then evacuating and re-gassing the system. If the TX (thermal expansion) valve is blocked, have the system flushed and replace the receiver drier BEFORE the system is re gassed. I do not know if your check engine lamp being on is related to the a/c issue but once the a/c is fixed, if the lamp gos out, you know it is..

New cam went flat in 30 min. 2nd cam wiped out also cams were crane hydraulic/ break in was followed.

Valve spring seat pressure too high, or valve lash too tight. In some cases a big-lift cam, with a stock set of springs causes coil-bind or "spring-stacking" and that will wipe a cam flat in about 5 minutes. Used lifters on a new cam won't seat properly, causing an uneven wear pattern. Doesnt take much to start a problem on a flat tappet cam, but hydraulics are usually more forgiving that solid lifters.

Changed Compressor not blowing cold enough

If you tried using a refrigeration "sealing" product before changing out the compressor, you most likely do need to replace the expansion valve.

The valve "flutters" open/close/open/close/etc/etc when in operation. The purpose is to allow the compessor to build up enough pressure to change the freon to a gaseous state. Once you put in the sealer, the valve becomes plugged with the product and cannot seat completely. After this happens, you never get a full phase change because the pressure cannot build up enough. You will experience reduced cooling. Change the Exp. valve and you'll be set. In the future, it is not advisable to ever use the sealer products as this can cause damage to other system parts, and especially the recovery units at the shop.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport A/C blowing hot air

you either have an expansion valve or an orifice tube in the system. if either is bad that will cause the prob. they do the same thing, depending on the system that you have. if you open the system to the atmosphere, the drier should be replaced. if you have a sightglass in the line, it will usually have a color parameter on it to indicate the presence of moisture. sometimes pulling a vacuum for 30 min will cure the prob. I would try pumping it down for at least 45min if you suspect a prob with the exp valve. your gauges will tell you if the exp valve is bad by the reading you get when the system is running.

If the compressor blew up,you will need a compressor, dryer.both high sde and low side lines, and the condenser and evaporator flushed.

2000 ford taurus low end ac valve

please rate as fixed if this helps you.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line.

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.
