Re-charge the battery to full then disconnect it then take the face cover off of the dials then fildle with the dials and make sure its not bent and see if it moves by your hand pushin it over if it does then just pull the pointer on the dial away from the dial itself then put the face cover back on the dials and they should work if not go to this page and consider buying it!!!!

could be stuck or the sender unit has failed and most likely cause is the float has filled with petrol but without a removal of the sender unit and an inspection its only speculation

My 04 Ford Focus the battery light keeps coming on & going off, have fitted a new alternator belt but it didn't solve the problem. The battery connections are good. Also the rev counter, speedo & mileage clock keep going haywire when the battery light is on. Do you think it is the alternator? Or is it some other common problem?

2000 ford focus speedometer stuck at max speed

it may have a static charge in the instrument cluster, try un-hooking the battery then turn the key on and even hit the brakes to try to drain the spark out of the system, hooking the 2 cables together with the battery disconnected may work as well to drain it.hook up the battery and see what happens, but make sure the key is off and nothing is on-lights,radio,wipers etc,it could send a spark to the computer.
