Hey would you be able to tell me how to get to that fuel reset button. I believe i might be having that same problem only I couldn't find that button in my trunk. There is a place in the trunk on the left hand side that says fuel reset but I just don't see a button. If you think you can assist me please email me at [email protected]. Thanks GP

There is no fuel reset button on GM vehicles ! If you have no fuel , your fuel pump or fuel pump relay or the PCM - powertrain control module is bad ! or you have a wiring problem !How do you know you have a fuel problem ? did you do a fuel pressure test ? what in the world is a fuel reset button?
if you are referring to the long term and short term fuel trims within the pcm you would need a factory scan tool to update/reset it. may i ask why you need to reset the fuel trims?
Try resetting fuel pump. I do believe the reset button is on the forward passengers side of vehicle. The button is behind the plastic shield. Reset once or twice. This hopefully will fix your problem. Look in your manual for exact placement of fuel pump reset button
Although many Ford vehicles have a fuel pump inertia swtich that can be reset if tripped, there isn't a fuel reset button on this vehicle. Power for the fuel pump is supplied by a 20 amp fuse [#6 in the relay center I believe] and the power is routed through the fuel pump relay which is controlled by the Engine Control Module and then sent out to the pump. I rarely see a blown fuse or bad relay but do see a lot of pumps that wear out an quit working.
Gm cars, I believe, do not have fuel reset buttons, or inertia switches. If your fuel pump is working, you should be able to hear it run for about 3 seconds when the ignition key is first turned on. Often, when a car runs out of gas, the fuel pump will have a hard time picking up fuel. You may have to spray some starting fluid into the intake or throttle body to get the engine started. I will double check to verify the absence of a fuel rest button.
on some of the escorts, there is a red button, that is in the trunk area, located on the right upper side, this is a fuel pump reset button, it allows the fuel pump to activate, and pump the gas from the tank to your engine, i believe that the sysytem is designed to shut off the fuel in the event of an accident, so that is why it has to be reset. hope this information helps you out.
