Question about 2000 Dodge Durango

My door locks are making a buzzing sound

The electric door locks on 2000 Durango are making a buzzing sound. They work, but did not work for couple of days when it was very cold. Is the locking motor about to go?

Spray as you can , (inside, upside down, downward) the latches, & Locks, down in the handles etc , with penetrant and keep working them. After loosened up , try getting a spray grease in there too, like white lithium grease in aerosol. Sounds like latches are getting partially seized/sticky, and causing electric motor on locks to spin a bit. I've had to remove door panels to really get them loosened up & greased, but you may get lucky

Hello I have a 2000 neon and when I use the electronic lock the doors make a loud buzzing noise.

The loud buzzing noise means the electric motor that actual unlocks the door has failed or is failing. In order to repair this you need to replace them.

Automatic locks do not work except on drivers side door. whether using the remote or the automatic door lock button. when either is pressed it makes a horrible sound. what could this be?

When the door locks make a buzzing sound this means the lock actuator for that door is bad and will need to be replaced. If the locks do not work at each door and only from the drivers switch. Then either the lock-out on the drivers switch is on or the drivers switch is staying in lock-out. The other possibility could be that the lock actuator for the other door is bad.

I have 97 honda accord 4 door. electric locks

Sounds like a sticking switch ( actuator ) in the door.
Pull off the door panel and , looking inside the door, follow the rod from the key to the actuator .
Clean the actuator and make sure it works freely before re assembly.

My 2000 Durango electrical/wiring problems...

The power lock problem is definately the electric lock actuator in the door. Replace it.
The power window problem could be the switch or the motor.
Put a test light on the motor connections. Operate the power window switch up and down. If the light works both directions, then replace the motor. If the light only lights one direction, then replace the switch... and you still might have to replace the motor afterward so do not think that replacing the switch is absolute. They sometimes fail together.

Noisy door locks

Hi my name is Allen!

The sound you are hearing is a built-in solenoid inside of the door latch itself, the part to replace will be the door latch or all latches that are making the noise.

Rear Door Electric Lock buzzing and stuck

It's the power lock solenoid. There is a tiny plastic piece that connects the solenoid (motor) to the door lock mechanism (thin metal rod or two). Likely, the plastic piece has become disengaged. This is by design so that if there is a problem with the mechanism the motor does not burn out. You will need to have the interior door panel removed to gain access to the interior of the door and the lock rod and solenoid need to be reconnected. The plastic clips used to go for $1-$2 when I worked in auto parts.
