Question about 1991 Honda Accord
Hi...I have a 91' Honda Accord Lx 4 dr...and One day I left my headlights on. the battery died. I went to crank my car up serval times and everytime I went to crank it ...I became more dead and more dead. Then finally will I crank it nothing but my instrument lights on my dash are on...everything still lights up! I put the key in and turn it all the way back and it will let me, but it won't start. All the while, my headlights and tailights are just blinking...There is also a little red button that flashes right beside the cruise button located by the steering wheel. It flashes whenever we hook the battery cable back up, which is fully charged. My car was completely fine before I left those headlights on for 3 hours becuz I had class...anybody know what this problem could be and how do I fix it?
Sounds like you just need a jump. if that doesnt work and the battery is fully charged then you need to disconnect the wires from the battery and clean the cable hookups and the battery terminals. You can go to a auto parts store and get a terminal wire brush cleaner. Wire brush the terminals and the hookup till all the corrosion is off and then put some vasaline on the terminals and hookups to prevent corrosion later. Hook you battery back up and see if it will start.
