Question about 1997 Mazda Millenia
I had both issues, it was a wiring harness for the Airbag and the motor for the steering column.

I recently had this issue as well. There is a local business that inspects airbags and associated wiring. They noticed that the car had recently been detailed and asked if the carpet had been shampood, and it had. They said it is a common problem with the Millenias. Moisture accumulates in the wiring harness of the power seats, and causes a false reading to the air bag sensor. Just find the wiring harness underneath the driver seat (and the passenger seat if its power too) disconnect them and let them dry. Reconnect the harness and the light should go out. Good luck.
