You have to go to a chevy dealer for the key. You can probably get a owners manual their too. They also sell manuals at auto zone or napa. Most auto stores sell them

Bought a car and the engine key doesn't open then door

If the ignition key does not open either door, the previous owner could have replaced the ignition lock.
The dealer may be able to cut you a door key from the VIN number.

My 2001 silverado's Security Light is staying on. I don't have an owners manual but I was told my security system is not working. Is there a fuse for a simple fix or must I take it to the dealer?

You probably need a new key switch. If your keys are really worn, they may need to be replaced also. The security system checks the key to see if it is correct. If not correct, power is not turned on to fuel pump.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado Automatic door locks

I assume you mean that the central locking system will not lock the doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

Ignition tumbler locked up. Key still works well in doors. Steering wheel is not locking, but key wont turn

try a spare key, or push key into lock while turning
it is the tip [pointy end] of the key that releases the switch tumbler lock allowing it to turn. keys & switches wear out, a 'heavy' key ring especially wears the switch.

Check in your owner's manual. It should tell you how to program your locks to allow for them to unlock when the key is turned off. There are several different functions of your locks you can choose from and program them to do so.

I was locked out of my 2007 silverado.

There is a feature called "delayed locking". If you get out of your vehicle and the keys are left in the ignition when you manually lock the doors with the door lock switch, the system will warn you the keys are in the ignition and do you really want to lock the door.
If you manually lock the door with the door lock switch a second time and shut the door, the locking system will lock all doors in 7 seconds and lock you out.

You can disable the feature through you DIC or have your dealer do it for you. The instructions are in the owners manual if you would like to try it.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Best regards,
