Engine codes p0011 & P0034 on my 2001 VW passat I replaced the camshaft positioning sensor and not did not fix the problem can anyone help?

Well code 11 means the computer thinks the cam timing is too far advanced, which could be a timing belt issue.
Code 34 is supposed to be a problem with the turbo if your car has one.
Trouble codes seldom mean a sensor has failed.

Trying to locate the crankshaft position sensor for a 2001 volkwagen passat 4 cylinder 1.8 dohc with a turbo. we have removed the timing cover and have located the wiring harness, but we are having a hard...

The crank, or speed impulse sensor is held into the block with a single bolt, I believe it is a torx or allen head cap screw and it will be just adjacent to the oil filter. The cam sensor is behind the timing cover. The crank sensor (speed impulse) is a far more common failure

How do you know if a cam shaft position sensor for a 2001 vw passat is bad

have to get a dianostic as soon as possible.local auto parts can do this.double check your car actually has that sensor in the manuel. should not be hard to fix, and not too expensive, unless you let it go too long.
