Remote starter I have a 2003 Ford Expedition EB 4x4. The remote starter stopped working. When I press the remote, the vehicle lights come on as usual, the dash powers up as usual but then it stops just shy of starting.

I have an Ultrastart (model UTX4, thats either the key fab model or remote itself) remote car starter. I changed the battery in key fab, light does not come on on fab. I seem to remember a code is needed when either the car battery is changed or key fab battery? BUT the light on fab does not come on when I press buttons. Help? I called the store, they said the light should come on in the key fab.

I had the same issue with my remote start on another vehicle, the part that bypasses the code on the key had to be reset. The way we figured it out was everything was normal except the vehicle did not start & the security light flashed rapidly.

Ford 2003 Expedition EB. Check Charging System

Its probably the alternator. It will need to be tested on the vehicle with the engine running and the light illuminated. Measure the battery voltage with the engine running. It should be at least 13.5 volts. If it is lower have the alternator tested at a shop with a charging system tester.

My 2003 expedition EB vibrates when applying brakes

the front rotors are warped ahd either need to be turned or replaced. use quality parts and motorcraft pads. if you use cheap rotors, they stand the chance of either being warped upon install or warping soon after.

Remote starter

Apparently the vehicle was in park enough to get the key out, but not enough to get it to turn to start or allow the remote starter to work. Once it had been jiggled around and put ALL the way into the PARK position, all works well again!
