your vehicle may still be under warranty. Call your local dealer and provide your VIN#, warranty is 60months/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, 96months/80,000 mile emissions warranty. I strongly recommend contacting the dealer before your vehicle hits 60,000 miles.
I would look for another mechanic that covers the warranty and have them put a OBD 2 monitor on it and see what is going on. To me from your explanation it sounds like the computer is malfunctioning and possibly needs to be replaced
my 98 isuzu tropper sometimes will not down shift back to first when i stop but if i put it in park and shut the vehicle off it will work fine . it will also work when i manually shift it .i dont know what it is , if its gonna need a tranny or if its electrical .
Horsecrap...go to an independent transmission dealer after you call the extended warranty folks and complain! I can count the number of Honda transmissions that go bad before 300,000 miles on one hand. Good Luck
What code is it?? If your replacement engine is doing the very same thing the old one did...overheating, The problem is most likely the radiator or something besides the engine. When you replaced the engine, did you do it or did a shop take care of it? If a shop did it, they should have checked the condition of the radiator. 50% of the engine replacements that I do, I end up replacing the radiator because that was where the problem initially started.
