Question about 1997 Ford F150 Regular Cab
I have a 2001 e150 that normally starts with the first touch of the key. Lately, for no apparent reason it will crank but not fire. Sometimes it will be several minutes of trying before it returns to normal. Then just like normal the first touch of the key and it is off and running fine. It may be a week or more before it fails again. There seems to be fuel but no spark. Can you help?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

it is possable/likely a bad ECTS (engine coolant tep. sensor), this can cause the injectors to allow to much fuel into cylinders and cause a low compression and or flooding situation, good luck, marty

It sounds like the pickup coil in the distributor, when it gets hot, it goes open circuit. Changing the plugs won,t help

that would be a wet soak concern, Likely fuel pump failure
