The battery is good but the car doesn't say anything when you try to start it.

I had the same problem. It was a short in a wire that is connected to the starter and runs alone all the way in the back, near the driver's side under the hood. It just hangs free low on the wall where the engine is. When it won't start I wiggle the wire and get back in and the engine starts right up.

I have taped it, and attempted to secure it. Now this happens once in a while.

Get starter tested. If starter fail, replace it. Check Battery cables again for corrosion and make sure that they are securely bolted.

Changed battery car will no start

We need to know if it turns over or just no sounds.
Maybe the new battery isn't good enough.

You can Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.

If the engine turns over but no start.
Check the "Main Relay"

Hope this helps.

Would a dead battery stop your key from turning on in a 2003 gmc envoy

Sounds like a flat battery. Just enough to power your lights but not enough to power the starter motor. Try recharging the battery.and check battery connections are good.

I have a 97 honda accord lx. I replaced the battery brand new. I believe i have a white valet override button on my dash i hit on accident. Now when i go to turn my key to start the car all lights and...

Your connections are not good at the battery. Are the cable ends that attach to the battery clean? Are they making good contact with the battery. With the cables connected and after you try to start measure voltage by placing the test leads directly on the battery post. You should see 12.4 volts. Now place the leads directly on to the battery cable ends. You should see exactly the same voltage. If not it's the connection that are not good.

1993 Honda accord, the battery is good but when i try to start it it wont turn over. The alternator is good and all my fuses are good, why wont it turn over? Should i get a new starter?

To begin with, turning over means different things to different people.
Does the engine crank but not start, or not crank at all ?
If it cranks but does not start, Honda cars are known to have weak fuel pump relays which would need to be tested.

When starting car starter turns engine over slow. battery seems to be good unless it doesnt have enough cranking amps. battery test is good altenator working good

It sounds like the battery don't have the cranking amps needed to turn the engine over fast enough. Even though it is starting, soon it will drain more and won't start.

Turn key will not start battery is good

Make sure the connections and the cables are good.No corrosion on cables. If the lights in the dash flicker this is usually a sign that the battery is not good or it is not making good contact.Have the charging system and battery load tested.Hope this helps.Good luck.
