I would say it very well could be a coil pack i have had the problem before.. I buy one and put it in all the spots till you find improvement if no improvement return the part... Could also be spark wires or plugs.. On mine i had a hesitation mis fire type thing was the mass airflow sensors intake was mashed down and sensor was dirty hope this helps..

Rough idle

Vacuum leak, dirty or clogged EGR valve, bad coil pack, bad wires, are a few things to check. I am assuming the plugs are okay. Good luck !

1993 Pontiac Grand Am. No fuel pump power and no fire from coil packs. What could be wrong?

run the fault codes and check for cam/crank position sensor fault. Check for the fuel sensor activating the relay for the fuel pump and the lack of power from the coil packs may be from an immobiliser problem.

While idling, the engine sputters. check engine light on, reading misfire in cylinder four. Have replaced both coils, all wires, and all plugs. Still no help. I've come to a dead end. Anybody with ideas?.

Hi, this may be a dirty injector. Try putting some injector cleaner in the gas tank to see if that will clear it up. If not, you may need to pull up the fuel rail and check the injector flow pattern.

You should have a good blue spark accross plug gap if not pull your coil packs apart and check for carbon tracking or corrosion in tower assembly, you could also have a fautly modual.
