Two small buttons on the inside of the driver's door

Not sure what they're for... do not have a manual to look them up, cannot seem to find one online either, lucky me? one of the smaller buttons looks like the car is being pulled up a ramp maybe, with small lines above where the sun roof would be in the symbol on the button... the other just looks like it would be something that could possibly be meant for the volume of the alarm system or something. What are these buttons meant for ? and how can I figure out how they are used?

Ok so I most definitely know that these buttons aren't for the unlock, gas, or trunk, but that's why i was asking about them...because they don't seem to be for any of those things. They are able to be clicked either direction, they have a red light that comes on after doing so, and also off after repeatition clicking. I'll keep looking to see what they're for and if it comes down to it i'll just go into the dealership and ask them... Being a female has its up and downs but i know when it comes to cars, all a girls gotta do is ask. thanks for your help :)

two button inside the car passenger door. One is for activate or desactivate the sensor alarm inside the car, the other is supposed to open or close the trunk of the car, but in my  case is not working?  Can you tell what's the problem is?

They are to control the settings for the cars security system. The one with "the ramp" is for the car's tilt sensor, and the other is for interior movement. No need to mess with them unless you are getting a lot of false alarms.

Can you lift one end of the button? Otherwise push them and see what happens. Possiblilites: lock/unlock doors, open gas tank lid, unlock trunk, etc.

Mazda 1996 lx prestige passenger door lock dose not work ether with key button our buy pushING down on

Need to take inside door panel off and look at inside door latch. The locking rod probably broke at door latch. Or it lucky unhooked. To find whice rod it is. You may need to cut hole in platinum sheet near door latch. Then move one left to right. One will lock it and one will open door. Then check to make sure both ends are connected on the lock rod. Almost sure it is the small plastic piece broken of door latch. And when taking inner door panel off. Make sure all screws are out. And use flat screw driver next to plastic tabs to pop them out. If careful everything will go back together easy.

Power Door locks do not work with the fob or manually.

redux, now that the facts are stated.

the fob is dead, ok,, but more important
both door controls are dead., but does the rear hatch lock work and lift glass?
next is fuses, its always first, for any electric failure of any kind, means almost everything, no?

1: so both switches are dead.
2: and the door lock solenoids are silent.
3: that means the BCM is not working.

the body computer listens to both lock switches
left and right and they are not related.
in fact the switches are just 2 pins,
one ground and one MUX.

that means the BCM has issues.
next is scan it.

my quote, you cant fix modern cars lacking a scan tool, you can't , unless wild gue$$ing is fun or cheap.
both locks fail, BCM is NOT listening,
fact.

BCM is a computer, and its not responding
to valid door commands.
scan it. page 8L 171 in the FSM tells you just that.

ps: the mirrors do not use the BCM or power from locks. so has zero to do with locks.

the FOB receiver in the body (RKE) to make the fob work is called the SKREEM.
the skreem then sends cammands to BCM via the PCI buss. so id bet SKREEM is ok but the BCM has issues.

The BCM is now ignoring 3 major inputs
SKreem
door left mux switch
door right mux swtich.

scan it , id bet there DTC error from BCM
i bet.......

Dodge nitro driver door not opening

Hello - Your best bet is to get a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual for your year, make & model. You can obtain one for around $20 at your local auto parts store, otherwise, try your local library where you could check one out - if it's not at that branch, it might be transferred in is you ask. This will provide more details than I could type into text here.
Be sure to call ahead to chack availability at either place. These manuals are extremely helpful and I always buy one for each vehicle I own. There are some sites online which will provide e-copies or even access to a library of the manuals for a fee... I've not ventured into this zone, but may also be a very viable option.
Please rate.
Best regards

How to manually lock door

There is a key barrel on the driver door boot handle, under a small cover. Then use the key blade placed inside the key fob under bottom cap. Just remove the cap.
1. Press the button [2]

2. Remove the key [1]

Then manually lock the driver door.

Driver side door lock won't open or lock using remote.

if it moves even a little bit when the button is pushed it wont be a fuse issue, you more than likely have a weak door lock actuator

you would have to pull out the interior pannel and and unlock it with a screw driver the latch has a small hole that you could fit the screw driver in and it will release the door latch I have open various doors with a broken handle and it seems that you could do the same good luck.

1994 Nissan Altima Passenger Door won't open

Since you have the door panel off, pul the rod for the door lock manually inside the door, this should unlock it, if it does not, there is a small push button, basicly a little peice of metal on the latch itself on the door latch inside the door, push it down this should pop the door open, you may need to spray all of the mechinisms with white lithium grease in a arosol can.....
