It sounds like a fuel delivery problem, maybe the fuel pump. Since it starts after a few days it sounds like the pump works well enough to get the fuel to the engine, but once the pump needs to continue to deliver fuel on an ongoing basis, it dies out. I'm not positive, but it could be the problem. You might also have dirty fuel injectors, or a vaccum leak of some sort around the throttle body. It's easy to know if you are having vaccum problems becasue you will hear a hissing noise.
My bet is the fuel pump, but again I'm not 100%. The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. You would need to lower the gas tank to get to it, and pumps are typically about $150-200. I hope this helps...
