Question about 1994 Mazda 323
Sometimes when you start the engine it sounds terrible and the gearstick shudders and the car goes very slow then after driving a short distance it coughs and surges forward and runs ok i have been told to change the plugs which i did but this has not solved the problem could it be dirty petrol or the coil pack thanks
Also try and pull the spark plug leads out the top of the rocker cover with the car running, only pull them out a little bit (be careful not to zap your self) and you should just be able to see if the spark is arking out the side of the rubber boot on the lead insted of the midal as it should.
if this is the case replace the leads, our if money is a factor by a roll of electrical tap and rap all the spark plug lead tubs in it (also a cheep way of doing the first test)
anouthere thing if when you pull the leads out they are coverd in oil that is the problem and the replace your rocker cover gasket

Its most likely ur coil pack but check to see if the plugs are spaced correctly then check ur spark plug wires make sure they arent corroded or not put on correctly or even if they are on the correct plug,. hope that works
