is its only reverse or foreward as well as if its only reverse then you have a undone a wrong bolt and the pivot pin for the reverse gear is now not located ,done it myself before now trying to find the oil level filler hole ,you will have drop box remove top lid and locate the reverse idler gear then the movement arm and refit the bolt with a shank /pin correctly ,done it myself honest thats how i know what you have done
The thrust bearing is normally a part of a new clutch kit.Comprises pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing.You will need to remove the gear box to change the bearing.The bearing basically slides onto the gearbox shaft. Recommend changing all three rather than just the beaing.You may want to get quotes from garages as dealers are expensive.
you could retry bleed clutch slave cylinder,should really replace these when replacing clutch if high mileage or it might be fifth gear ring gear broken or worn looking at gearbox strip or new gearbox i would try rebleeding clutch might have small airlock in it.
drain oil using allen key plug underneath gearbox till all oil is drained refit use new seal if old 1 is damaged then look at front of g/box quater of the way up is another allen key plug remove fill with new oil till it starts to run out hole refit plug and ur done
