O2 Sensors are usually located underneath the vehicle and along the exhaust system close to the engine.

What does error code P0040 mean on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring touring

O2 sensors connections for the front sensors are swapped, open (cut) or shorted out. The PCM may be bad if the sensors and wiring are ok.
If you recently worked on the sensors check your wiring. If not, You probably have a bad O2 sensor or the wiring is at fault.

Where do I find the downstream 02 sensor on a 2004 2.4l seabring

I have no specific model experience but the downstream or diagnostic O2 sensor is generally found screwed into the exhaust system just after the catalytic converter.

O2 sensor

It is the downstream left sensor, the one located after the converter. You can get it from oxygensensorworld.

Location & aprox. price for oxygen sensor bank 1, on a chrysler sebring 2004, 2.4liter, dohc, non-convertible?

A four cyl engine only has one bank. So in your case bank one sensor one is in front of the catalytic converter, and sensor two is after the cat.
The sensor can cost from $25 to $85 dollars depending on which one and your location.
Keep in mind the code 420 can be caused by other factors than the O2 sensors.

I have 2 codes showing on my 2004 chrysler sebring.? P2096 AND p0137. what do they mean and how do I know what parts to get to fix the problem.

P0137 O2 Sensor Bank 1, Sensor 2 Voltage Low
P2096 Down Stream Fuel System Bank 1, Sensor 2 Lean

There are 3 possible engines in your vehicle, a 2.4L 4-cyl, a 2.7L V-6, and a 3.0L V-6. If your car has a 4-cyl then there is only one downstream O2 sensor. This is where you need to start the diagnosis for code P0137.
While it would be nice to assume that the sensor is faulty, the sensor wiring between sensor and PCM could be the problem as well.
That said, you are looking for a DOWNSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR. I strongly advise that the replacement be OEM compatable. Avoid Universal Replacement types that use **** connectors to make them work.
Good Luck!
