That's normal... your Suzuki comes equipped with DRL (daytime running lights). I thought the same thing until I found out it was normal for that happen. Hope this gives you clarity.

Daytime running lights not working

Can you see the smoke colored sensor near the windshield? I've had one break and fall down which caused this exact problem. If you can see it, pull the plastic trim piece off, make sure the connections are actually connected, have seen these come unhooked.

My suzuki Baleno the handbrake light comes on going around corners, and the check engine light comes on usually when I speed up

low brake fluid, what year/ lost the operators guide, ?
the light glows for 3 reasons, or 4. (depends on year)
hand brake, fluid, abs (rwal) , and brake failure front or rear
the check engine light coming on is (maybe) and engine fault
again no year, stated, but it means to scan the ECU to get the
errors. connect scan tool, press scan, bingo.,
on some years,1997 and above, it also reports, A/T errors.

After I start my car and disengage the handbrake, the handbrake light is dimly lit (should be off). At the same time, my headlights, windshield wipers, rear wipers and window heating, and heating vents...

what you described is symptoms of a bad ignition switch, when you are moving the key around to find a good spot it is internally moving the contacts until they catch a good spot, this happens when they get worn.

Headlight

This is normal operation. The XL-7 has daytime running lights and automatic headlight controls. You can keep headlights off when starting by applying the handbrake. If / when the daylight sensor on the dash determines it is evening and turns on the headlights, they will come on regardless of the handbrake position; and obviously, if you want to move the car, you have to release the handbrake (and headlights come one).

Suzuki baleno indicator/light switch fault

The problem is probably caused by moist in the fusebox / relaybox inside the cocpit. It's placed on the drivers side below the steering wheel. In my case it was sufficient to dry it by using a heater fan for couple of hours ( over night ). Afterwards I used CRC for electrical circuits, and sprayed everything as goods as possible. It has now been working fine for more than a year, so it might be worth trying.....
