Air conditioning the a/c blows through the side vents against the window but not through the vents in the front of the dash and the rear a/c works just fine. also the heat and just the vents wont blow through the front either. just throught the defrost vent. what is causing this because i live in southern california and right now the temperature is so hot that you could fry an egg on the side walk?

Check your vacuum lines that sevice the plenumm doors that redirect the air. A good kick in one of the foot wells under the dash can dislodge a conection. The other problem may be the main dash selector its self

My yukon 2005 front air condition does not change position and does not blow air on dash vents it only blows under the dash and on top the dash

Under the dash on the side of the heater and air unit is a motor that moves the air door. Check to be sure it is working sounds as if it is stuck or burnt out.

Hi bensarabia,

This condition is usually an indication that the a/c refrigerant level is low. The driver's side will always get heating and cooling first. I would recommend having the refrigerant level checked and also having it leak tested.

Heating / air conditioning control stuck to front defrost vents

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.

2006 Envoy SLT air suddenly stopped blowing from vents

the resister block needs changing... oddly enough i'm unsure of what fan you are saying is not working.... if it's the front.. the resister block is located on the duct work under the dash for the air... near the fan... you will see a connector going into the side of the duct work. two screws and the block comes out... should be fairly obvious for the rear one but it will be near the fan.
