Just had new transmission, timing belt, serpentine belt, etc replaced...now heater only blows slightly warm when operating at 50 MPH or above...dealer/mechanic hasn't a clue.

I have had the timing belt, internal water pump and belts all changed. Still have no heat. I read something about a "Fresh Air Intake" that has foam on the flaps that gets old and falls off. Therefore the ducts aren't sealed and cold air gets in and mixes with the warm air.

Does that sound familiar to anyone??

Ok, have your coolind system backflushed. Your heater core could be clogged. This could have been caused in using the wrong antifreeze system or mixing the green with the vw g-12 antifreeze. This could ran you about $110 to 150 dollars at a radiator shop...stay away from the Jidffy lube or oil doctor's . This could be your cheaper alternative to solution to your problem..good luck..

Oh, I did not mention it before..why didn't you have the termostat changed , you were right there..the cost of a termosta is about $48.00 at the dealer or after market ( Stand, brand ) with the gasket ring only $ 26.00...that could be part of the problem also..

The A/C in my 2006 Passat 2.0 T is not working consistently. It seems to quit giving cold air when the outside temp is the hottest. It sometimes works fine until the engine is warmed up-then starts blowing hot air. Any Ideas?

I OWN A VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT, JUST BOUGHT IT NOW THE HEAT BOLWS OUT COLD AIR WHAT SHOULD i CHECK OR DO

Check operation of the heater coolant on/off control valve and operating mechanism.
Check thermostat is installed and working OK - replace if in doubt.
Check if coolant heater supply hoses are warm/hot when coolant valve on.
If hoses are cold (no coolant flow evident) check coolant system is properly filled (bleed system as necessary to remove possible air locks).
If still no coolant flow check heater system for blockage.
If all above ok, check heater unit air control vanes operation.
