No, there isn't, unless you can obtqaain an old factory manuel. You might find an old car club and sweet talk to some of its members to see how they might help.

How to Replace Door Lock assembly in Chevrolet cavalier car?

The procedure to replace the door locks in car is as follows:--
1) First of all carefully remove the arm rest and any speaker covers if speakers are connected.
2) Then remove the door panel. The door panel is connected by plastic clips.
3) Then remove the door handle screws with the help of screwdriver.
4) After the screws are removed the door handle will come out
5) Now the interior doors handle needs to be removed. the interior door handle is fitted by plastic clips you can use a pliers to pop out the plastic clip, then twist the clip to allow the interior door handle to swing free and easily come out.
6) Take the door handle out
7) Now in the door remove the rod from lock core. Then remove the two bolts holding the door handle assembly.
8) Now before removing the old door lock, please take note of the position in which it is placed. So while inserting new lock there is no problem about placing the new lock.
9) Insert the new lock carefully to the proper position. And reverse/refit all the parts which you removed while replacing the old door lock.
This will help. Thanks.

1986 Chevy Nova - the defroster/heater vents stopped working. Any ideas? Before they found the found the fuel filter, they messed with the air filter. Could that be the problem?

If the air vent mode doors are vacuum operated, (though some are cable operated), they could have disconnected a vacuum line from engine. A vacuum diagram sticker should be located under the hood. The a/c hose will be listed as (HVAC hose).

1995 Tahoe inside door handle doesn't open the door

The inside door handle itself is probably broken. There is a weak point where the handle joins at the pivot(my 99 Chevy work truck handle broke so many times that I got fed up and fabricated my own handle from solid steel!) I believe this part is the same one in a 95 model year truck. The assembly (handle and surrounding plastic stuff) is only a few bucks(try RockAuto.com).The handle usually will break completely off when it starts to crack, but not always.

My 1998 gmc suburbans driver side trunk (back) door handle has come apart. It seems that I am missing a part. Are there diagrams of the inside door assembly? If I could look at one in its complete form,...

GMC dealers have book or microfilm IPB, illustrated parts breakdown, on everything they sell. Go to a dealer's parts department and nicely ask them to show you the IPB on that door. It may take a few minutes to find a 12 year old car IPB and there may be paying customers who get waited on first but if you are patient and courteous eventually they can help you. Most will even print you out a page, then you will know all the parts, their numbers, how they go together, whether or not that old part can still be had through GM, and about how long it takes a GM tech to replace that part.

This works on about all cars where you can still find a dealer. Also if you have 3 dollars you can buy these IPBs on CD for many cars over on eBay.

Left front door handle

Busted off right...common problem in these...you'll need to get one at either the junk yard(cheap) or the dealer(expensive)..then you need to take the door panel off the inside of the door to get access to the inside of the handle...there will be two 10mm nuts you need to remove holding the door handle assy. in..remove them and replace with new one..assemble in reverse order

The front driver window made noise going up and then fell down.

It sounds like it came off the track. Take the panel off the door and inspect. Sometimes the rivets they use break, if that is all replace with small bolts.

Both door handles on my 1993 chevy lumina euro have malfunctioned and I can't get into the car. It is being towed to the house right now. My question is: will replacing only the handles solve the problem...

There is no way of telling what needs to be replaced until the door panel is off. It could be as simple as the linkage from the handle to the latch mechanism coming off. There could be problems with the latch or handle itself. Can you gain access into the car from the trunk?
