Question about 2002 Dodge Stratus
I purchased a 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T and I don't know if the spark plugs were ever replaced. It would be helpful if you could tell me what brand/type of spark plugs were installed by the manufacturer when the car was new in 2002.
The spark plugs for that vehicle is Champions. Not anything fancy, just a resistor copper core plugs. DO NOT INSTALL DOUBLE OR SINGLE PLATINUM PLUGS. No bosch, no splitfire, nothing but the champion plug.
ANy other plug and you will start have random misfire codes and other "weird little problems".
I have been a shop owner for years and I tell you this because i have fixed weild little problems just by installing the correct plug. ]
You should change the plugs every 30K miles as well. Look in your owners manual and it should tell you your service schedule
