Question about 1997 Dodge Caravan

1997 Dodge Caravan

Just replaced a power steering unit and was fine for about 2 weeks - then all of a sudden the car is running COLD - especially when the temperature outside is cold it seems like it wants to stall but if you let it idle for about 4-5 minutes it is fine. The check engine light also is on and I checked the codes - the one says about cold running - not sure what to do

Im trying to find the power steering hose location on a 97 caravan

If your engine is a 6cyl,
The two metal lines entering the power steering pump are the pressure and return lines,If you have access to a hoist it will be easier to follow. They both run down the rear of the engine to the rack- pinion steering unit.
It is mounted to the top of the cross over frame, which goes from the left side uni body to the right side.

Power steering pump

The pump has to be removed from under the vehicle by removing the exhaust system from the flex bracket and moving it to as far left of the vehicle as possible..remember you have to remove the splash shield that protects the engine components first...then remove all associated bolts, hoses (plug them so they won't drip) and remove the pump from the vehicle..that it.
