Check engine light

I want to buy a 1994 mercedes e320 which has 115000 mile. But I'm afraid, because the check engine light is on. do you think this is an issue with the engine, for a mercedes at this mileage?

115000 miles on a Benz is not a lot of mileage provided the car was serviced on time and properly. You might want to have someone run a scan for trouble codes to see why the light is on. It could just be a bad 02 (oxygen) sensor. Does the car run OK?

What does it mean when 1994 mercedes s600 engine ticking?

The most common cause for ticking is valve train wear. Though engine failure is not imminent, it is an indication that the engine will have to be repaired. On your vehicle it will be a potentially expensive repair. Some engines last thousands of miles with such ticking but it's a gamble to neglect the repair.

I Want to by mercedes C180 w202 will cost $8000. It was parking for 13 years and its milage is 30,000km. i am afraid of the proplems caused for this long time parking. Please advise shall I buy...

13 years alot can rust and rot, stay away from it. Buy elsewhere and 96 and above 94-95 has alot of problems with overheating and bad engine wire harness.

1994. MBz, s600. v-12. ASR. dashboard light.

To make sure the problem will be solved, you have to replace left and right ETA's and engine wiring harnes.I had the same problem with my 1994 S600. expensive.Mercedes had wiring problems on all models from 1992- 1996 (insulation on wires would crack, and wires would short circut).

Red Check engine light on my 1994 E320

well..i am not sure whether this is gonna solve your problem..but i had the same head ache with the check engine & check engine electronics alert on the cluster instrument..i removed the battery terminals for 10 minutes and replaced them & my problem solved successfully..but just beware that you connect them together at the same time with no short circuits which might mislead u with the same problem.
