Unfortunately the only way to fix this is to replace the cluster. If you can do the work on your own, you can usually pick up the cluster from a wrecker yard for about $50.

2006 Nissan Quest has digital odometer and gas gauge and they fade out all of the time. Does anyone know what causes the problem and how to fix it?

Its a faulty instrument cluster...go to this youtube link to see one way to fix it...

"REPAIRING THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAY/ODOMETER"

There are other videos you can find on youtube as well. I found one that showed how to get the panel out in order to fix it and there were some videos that offered to repair it if you shipped it to them. I think they wanted to charge $200 so maybe you'll have luck fixing it using the link above.

2006 freestar odometer light fades out unable to see it any more

I'm having the same problem with my odometer. Sadly, when I stopped at the FORD dealer's shop...they seemed totally lost in what I was describing to them..

It feels good to know somebody else has the same problem...

Unfortunately, we also do not have a solution.

Come on FORD, get around to this problem and give us a solution...NOW!

PRNDL and odometer light faded to completely off. Is it as

NO. Thats a common thing, you need a Istrument cluster. I'm sure your local garage has a source to get one from.

2001 Buick Regal lights for odometer and PRNDL sometimes fade, sometimes go to black, and at other times, light up.

Wrong! Non of the above. I just fixed that problem. The problem is loose resistors on the instrument cluster's printed circuit board. It is four bigger resistors parallel to each other. Re solder them and your odometer cluster is back to perfect.

1999 buick custom century odometer light has gone out. what is the cost to repair? is there a simple way to repair or replace the lighting?

The odometer just disappears, and sometimes comes back on but fades away

That's the instrument cluster itself. It's burning out on you. It's and expensive part that can only be bought from the dealership. Unless you want to try your luck at a junk yard.

The odometer works when it is cold and fades out when it is hot

If this is a digital odometer; it sounds like you may have some bad pixels. Unfortunately, there is no way around it if you already have the brightness on the odometer to the max, than to replace it.

Odometer light faded away still working but no light, how do I fix this problem The answer we need is how to replace this bulb. The back light on my LED odometer is not lighting up either.

This is not LED but LCD, this means it has no light emitting capability of it's own, there is a back bulb light behind it, you will have to pull the cluster out to replace that odometer back light bulb.
