Dashboard Lights will not go on Mazda Pickup B2500 1999

1999 Mazada B2500 pickup truck. Have lost the dasboard lights for night driving. I checked the fuses and can't find any out. Is it one of the small fuses in the block next to the drivers door? Any other places to check? Since I don't have a manual on the truck to check which fuse controls those lights can you be as specific as possible? Thanks Brien

As long as all fuses are good, you need to check the light switch its self. Remove the light switch assembly from the dash. With a 12 volt circuit tester, check the wiring coming out of the switch. The dash lights will be powered along with the side marker lights.

Probe each wire that joins the switch, turning the switch on and off. If you don't have any loss of power here, it can be at the printed circuit board at the dash.

Dashboard light is out, is it a fuse or is the problem in the dash?

This would be a fuse, check your fuse panel and replace fuse with proper size fuse, if a bulb goes out other lights will still work so if you all of the sudden you lost all lights to dash, replace fuse first.

Half the dash lights are out on my mazda b2500

There are several small screws to remove. It doesn't take long once you've done it and know where they are located. First you must remove the center console--there are two screws (i think 7mm or 8mm) underneath the middle part kind of hidden from view on the center console. Then remove the lower plastic panel under the steering wheel. Then a metal panel must be at least loosened enough to reach the lower screws on the dash panel you're trying to get at. Then there are three more screws along the top ledge that must be removed. Then you can get to the bulbs. I think there are 5 in there, and two in the center console. It sounds difficult and time consuming, but it only took me like 15 minutes start to finish

The dash lights on my 1995 nissan pickup went out completely last week. before, the lights behind the HVAC controls were on or off intermittently, now i can't see the gauges when i am driving at night.

the bulbs are either blown or there is a loose wire in the back of the dash cluster if you cant find any loos wires them teh dimmer switch or head light switch may be the problem

Belts making noise

Simply check is to replace the serpentine belt tensioner. Looks like this:

Another reason you might have alternator going to die. Try to rotate the alternator rotor without belt on it. If you need to use force no free rotation, replace the alternator.
Please kindly let me know if you need more info
Good Luck
