the fcc is a red herring. (its just a fed. radio lic. to use this freq.)
what is your question? you lost your 2nd fob that came new with car?????
want a new fob?
the toy, dealer parts list for this part, is on the toy site, you look and see it and see the p/n of the fob and then find one. (google p/n)
and get it programmmed.
I had the same problem on an 08 Equinox. After jumping the battery, recharging, checking all fuses and swaping some of them, I returned to it and it started like if nothing had been wrong. Then I realized that I used a different Key and remote.
I remote locked it and used the first remote and key again and the problem came back. I went back and forth a couple of times and recreated the problem. PROBLEM was my regular key lost its program. I reprogrammed the remote and key and lived happily ever after. good luck.
All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door
lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming
sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all
previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming
signal from the first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters can be
programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity
of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This
prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.
Install a scan tool.
the scan tool in order to access programming: Vehicle Control
System/Computer Integrating System/Module Setup/BCM/Program Key Fobs.
Press the START soft key on the scan tool. Important: The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one
transmitter. After a delay of 5-10 seconds, the scan tool will indicate
that the transmitter is programmed.
Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
Remove the scan tool.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
No Tools Required In the event that a transmitter is lost,
program the old and the new transmitters into the memory of the remote
control door lock receiver. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed. Important Once the keyless entry receiver enters the
programming/diagnostic mode, the programming of the first transmitter
erases all previous transmitter programming information. You must then
program all of the transmitters. Program only 1 vehicle remote control door lock receiver at a
time. If you program multiple receivers simultaneously, the same
transmitter could possibly be programmed to more than 1 remote control
door lock receiver. Perform the following steps: Sit in the vehicle driver's seat. (actually it’s much ezr from the front pass seat) Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder. Close all of the vehicle's doors. Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Electronic Diagnosis in Body and Chassis. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position. Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second. Open
and then close any vehicle door. You will hear a chime when the remote
control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode. If
you do not hear a chime, start again at step 1. Important After 7 seconds, you may hear a chime confirming
successful synchronization. After approximately 14 seconds, you will
hear a chime confirming successful programming. Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds. Repeat step 8 in order to program each additional transmitter. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder. Install the MALL PGM fuse back into the fuse panel. Refer to Electrical Diagnosis in Body and Chassis. Validate that all the transmitters that were programmed operate properly. Refer to Keyless Entry System Operation
